Garlicky Sautéed Greens with Lemon & Herbs



Sautéed with garlic and olive oil, then brightened with lemon juice and sunflower seeds, this quick kale dish is tender, flavorful, and ready in minutes.

Garlicky Sautéed Greens with Lemon & Herbs

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, mined
  • 1 bunch kale, destemmed and chopped
  • lemon juice, from 1/2 a lemon
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp sunflower seeds, Optionally toasted

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium.
  2. Add garlic and cook ~30–60 seconds, just until fragrant.
  3. Add greens in batches, tossing to wilt evenly.
  4. Sauté until tender (~4–5 minutes).
  5. Remove from heat, stir in lemon juice and season to taste.
  6. Sprinkle with toasted seeds if using.
  7. Serve immediately or warm.
