Green Beans with Garlic and Basil

Green Beans with Garlic and Basil

Ingredients

  • 3 cups green beans, cut in half
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 tbsp basil, fresh, chopped
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan.
  2. Once the oil is hot, but not smoking, add the chopped garlic and saute until fragrant.
  3. Then add the green beans.
  4. Season with a little bit of salt and pepper.
  5. Saute a few minutes.
  6. Add 1/4 cup of water.
  7. Put the lid on and turn the heat to low.
  8. Simmer about 5 minutes until the green beans are tender.
  9. Stir in the basil.
