Turkey Smash Tacos
These Turkey Smash Tacos are a quick, high-protein, MIND Diet–friendly dinner with a bright cumin-lime slaw. Ready in 40 minutes and family-approved.

Ingredients
Slaw
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 lime, juiced
- 1/4 tsp ground cumin
- pinch salt
- 2 1/2 cup cabbage, shredded
- 2 1/2 cup kale, finely chopped
Smash Tacos
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 2 tbsp taco seasoning
- 6 medium tortillas, whole grain
Instructions
- Whisk together the olive oil, lime juice, cumin and a pinch of salt. Then in a medium bowl, mix the dressing with the cabbage and kale.
- In a separate bowl, mix together: ground turkey and taco seasoning.
- Heat a griddle or skillet. Brush with oil.
- Spread ground turkey mixture on a tortilla, trying to get the filling all of the way to the edges.
- Cook meat-side down on the griddle for 2-3 minutes until the meat side is brown.
- Flip and cook another minute. Repeat with each tortilla.
- Fill each taco with a generous scoop of the slaw.
